Foundations 1:
Ellen Tadd’s Framework For Wise Education®

Foundations-1: Ellen Tadd's Framework for Wise Education® is the first training in our multi-tiered online program. Over nine weeks, this training provides a comprehensive understanding of the Framework and its applications for you and the young people you serve. You will:

  • Discover a new Framework category and its corresponding chakra center each week

  • Study and apply essential tools, strategies, and attitudes that support well-function in each category

  • Learn to mitigate specific challenges to learning and development (within the settings you serve)

  • Deepen your powers of self and student/child observation

Engaging reading and audiovisual assignments, meaningful partner work, and written reflections will help you fully integrate this impactful methodology. Our weekly Zoom calls bring opportunities to discuss your learning,  practice new skills, and deepen your experience with the fundamentals of the Framework approach.

This course is helpful and applicable to educators, academic administrators and board members, coaches, and social workers working with children Prek-high school. Successful completion of Foundations-1 grants you Framework Trainee status.

Completing this training earns 50 professional development hours (5 CEUs). Creative Lives also partners with Antioch University and Southern New Hampshire University (for students in NH, VT, and MA) to offer graduate credits for an additional fee.

    9-Week Foundations-1 Course:

    Weekly Zoom Class: Wednesdays: April 9th — June 4th, 7-8:30 pm (EDT)

    Orientation will take place on the Thinkific platform, helping learners navigate their learning experience.

    Learn how to use our learning portal and learn essential course details. A laptop/desktop login is preferred so you can practice using the features.

    In addition to the weekly group Zoom call, the course includes one individual support session with your instructor to aid in understanding and implementing the Framework.

  • Foundations-1: Spring 2025

  • Our first week gives you an overview of the course. The schedule for weeks 2-8 is very similar. Our final week is a wrap-up.

    Week Two Overview: Throughout this course we will explore each chakra center and its relation to child development and education. We start this week with the crown chakra, the center of inspiration.

    Partner Work

    Starting this week, you will work with your partner to discuss your understanding of the week’s chakra and how you see it manifest in your daily life.

    As part of your partner work, you need to record your conversation and submit that recording for feedback and review.

    Reflective Writing

    You will undertake various exercises to engage with the week’s chakra category as you observe your experience in intentionally connecting with this center.

    Later, you will compose and submit reflective writing regarding your experience placing greater attention and intention to the center.

  • This training is the first in a 3-part series that includes:
    Foundations 1, Foundations 2, and follow-up symposia.

    In 2025, generous funders are supporting 62% of the tuition cost. Your total commitement per person is: $450 for the entire training.
